We are pushing for a local growth fund investment across economic infrastructure worth £270 million, £362 million replacement of the Tyne and Wear Metro fleet, as well as many other projects in the region.
“Transport is critically important to the future success of our region. Enhanced transport links will boost our economy, improve our environment by providing more carbon-neutral transport links and also greatly improve the health and well-being of people across the North East.”
We’ve worked with North of Tyne Combined Authority (NOTCA) to submit a bid for funding to make the case for vital maintenance and enhancement work to the Tyne Bridge..
If supported by the National Roads Fund, this scheme would make a significant difference to those travelling into North East.
