Transport for the North is made up of several partner agencies (further details available from the “About” page of this website). This website and the data collected through it is managed by Transport for Greater Manchester.

Transport for Greater Manchester (“TfGM”, and references to “we”, “our” and “us” shall be construed accordingly) is committed to protecting and respecting your Privacy.

TfGM will sometimes need to collect your personal information so that we can provide you with the full range of our services and carry out our statutory functions. TfGM and our service providers may use personal information held about you in the following ways:

  • to carry out equality monitoring exercises in respect of employees and service users;
  • to carry out research and evaluation work to improve the services we provide
  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with information, products and services that you request from us;

These third party service providers may include (but are not limited to) transport operators in the region and those that administer and provide ticketing and information services. We may also share information in aggregate with our business partners and service providers, where personally identifiable information is removed, for marketing and strategic development to improve and support our business. TfGM will not share or distribute any of the information you provide to us to unaffiliated third parties without receiving your consent, unless required to do so by Law.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

• In the event that we transfer, sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the buyer of such business or assets,
• If we are required or permitted to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions of sale and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TfGM, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection or crime prevention and detection,
• Where you have consented for us to share your personal data.

Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
