The Rail North Committee was established to take over the role of Rail North Limited in relation to the management of TransPennine Express and Northern rail franchise matters.
This includes among other matters, the promotion and improvement of rail services in the area of Transport for the North and the wider Rail North area, the management of the performance of obligations, and recommendations of budgets and policies.
The committee consists of one Member and one Substitute Member appointed by each of the Regional Groups set out in paragraph 21.5 of our constitution.
All meetings are open to the public (including the press) except to the extent that they are excluded whether during the whole or part of the proceedings.
