Transport for the North has established a General Purposes Committee to provide direction in relation to any matter other than rail franchise matters which is not reserved to the Transport for the North Board.
The Committee consists of one Member and one Substitute Member appointed by each of the Regional Groups as set out in paragraph 22.4 of our constitution and one Member and one Substitute Member to be appointed by the LEP Co-opted Members on the Board.
The Members appointed shall be a Member or Substitute Member of the Transport for the North Board. Quorum for any meeting of the Committee shall be five Members who together shall hold 50% of the weighted votes.
All committee meetings are open to the public (including the press) except to the extent that they are excluded whether during the whole or part of the proceedings.
The Transport for the North General Purposes Committee will meet for a Consultation Call at 1pm on Thursday 30 October 2024.
This virtual Consultation Call, will be live streamed via video conferencing.
Please note that whilst you will be able to watch public items, you won’t be able to make comments or speak to members. A copy of the public proceedings will be published after the meeting has taken place.
In order to fulfil our obligations on commercial confidentiality and data protection, the public and press will be excluded for certain agenda items where confidential or ‘exempt’ information is discussed.
