Transport for the North Board

To appoint the Co-Chairs of the Transport for the North Board for the 2026-27 Municipal Year.

The Chair to welcome Members and the public to the meeting.

Members are required to declare any personal, prejudicial or disclosable pecuniary interest they may have relating to items on the agenda and state the nature of such interest.

To approve the minutes of the meetings held on 16 March 2026 (including updates on agreed matters as appropriate).

To receive the report of appointments to TfN Committees, calendar of meetings 2026/27 and other governance matters (including constitutional amendments).

To consider the update on Northern Powerhouse Rail governance.

To note the update on the corporate risk register.

The next meeting will be held on 21 September 2026 at 13:00-15:00 via Teams.

The reports relating to the remaining items on the agenda have been withheld from public circulation and deposit pursuant to Section 100(B)(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 as amended on the grounds that the matters may be determined with the press and public excluded.

Draft Resolution:

That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items pursuant to Section 100(A)4 of the Local Government Act 1972 on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 2 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) and public interest would not be served in publishing the information.
