Northern political and business leaders meet online this week to discuss next steps on the Strategic Transport Plan update, Integrated Rail Plan and Northern Powerhouse Rail.
Transport for the North (TfN) Board meets online this week for a Consultation Call to discuss the key issues facing the region in its ambitions for strategic transport investment and planning.
The Northern political and business leaders who make up the TfN Board will consider progress on the development of TfN’s policy positions as part of its work to update the Strategic Transport Plan, currently being developed by TfN officers and partners. The update focuses on how TfN can support partners on Active Travel and Multi Modal Hubs.
The Board will also be given an update on TfN’s assessment of the economic impact of the Integrated Rail Plan and an update on the potential for local contributions. The Board will also receive an update on discussions regarding TfN’s co-sponsorship role on Northern Powerhouse Rail.
