As the City of Culture 2017 – Hull is a maritime-turned-university city is continuing to go from strength-to-strength. Known for the Humber Bridge, which was once the world’s longest single-span suspension bridge – investment in accessible transport links is high on the agenda for the local authority.

Planned Transport Investment for Hull

In Hull we are supporting the £1.8million scheme to improve access to Priory Park Business Park. We are also pushing for the £8 million in capacity improvements to the Stoneferry Corridor (A1033/A1165).

Hull’s Fair is the largest travelling fair in Europe and one of the oldest – celebrating its 700th anniversary in 1993! Hull Fair visits the city for one week every October.
With one million passengers and 90 million tonnes of cargo, The Humber Ports is the UK’s largest ports complex.
It is Yorkshire’s only waterfront city and is named after the River Hull. Its proper name is Kingston-upon-Hull, which it has held since 1299, when it was named by Edward I.
The city is home to the world’s only submarium! At ‘The Deep’, you can walk under water (through a viewing tunnel) and see 3,500 fish.
