The North East - home to Britain’s largest sculpture, The Angel of the North, the world’s oldest surviving railway bridge and the oldest provincial newspaper in the UK. Regardless of its industrial heritage, the maritime cliffs and extensive moorland make the North East a unique region.

National Roads Fund

We’ve worked with North East Combined Authority (NECA) to submit a bid for funding to make the case for vital maintenance and enhancement work to the Tyne Bridge..

If supported by the National Roads Fund, this scheme would make a significant difference to those travelling into North East.

The North East Transport Plan

The North East Transport Plan is an ambitious multi-billion-pound strategy aimed at delivering major improvements across the North East.

The Plan includes multiple road, rail and public transport projects which will drive forward increased connectivity.

An 8-week public consultation took place in 2020/21 with local authority, stakeholder and community responses feeding into the final document.
